Well, indeed..

I was going to write about my love of Korres. Jason bought me some for Valentines day and I love it.

However, I just found out that my bestfriends house was robbed. That sort of puts things into perspective. Everythings gone. Her TV's, computers, cameras, jewelry, her daughters college money, clothes, purses, sunglasses....just WOW! This is an arena I don't have any idea how to handle, she is looking for her serial numbers, recipts etc. I know that she needs to make a list of whats gone, make sure to cancel any cards... Aside from that I'm at a loss.

Does anyone know of anything I can tell her?

Sketchers Shape-ups

I truly love them!! I purchased them with my tax return at the end of January. I went to JC Penney to try a few pairs of tennis shoes on and fell in love with these goofy looking shoes. I can feel the workout in my abs, my back, my calves my thighs. I love it.

Jason and I walk every day. 1/2 the time I wear my crocs (I have several pairs) and the other half I wear my sketchers. Love it!

"Deal"icious Mom

I won a giveaway. Thanks to http://dealiciousmom.com/ They tend to be one of my favorite blogs to check out for freebies. I'm slowly getting the links set back up on my computer so I had a few blogs to catch up on in the last couple of days. YAY.

So what did I win? Wanchai Ferry “Perfect Night In” prize pack that includes one VIP coupon valid for a free package of any of the Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees, in addition to a set of great Asian-inspired rice bowls, chopsticks, bamboo placemats, flavored fortune cookies, and a $25 Target gift card.

WooHOO! I've been wanting to try this for a few months. We don't have a Chinese food place in town and some days it's just too much of a pain to make it from scratch. I've already been stalking Target.com to figure out what to spend my gift card on ;-D

Excitement..yeah not really

Last night my MIL, mom, Cayley and I went and had a girls night at church. It was Relief Societys birthday and we had a FABULOUS dinner followed by hollywood squares. It was really fun. I hope to be able to go to more relief society events in the future.

With that said, while I am LDS, and my faith is solid I do not stick to the prohibitions. Because of the I believe I will never see the inside of the temple. Number one, while I do not drink often, I do believe in a medicinal shot of whiskey and LOVE a thick dark beer. MMM. I drink tea like I live in the desert. My favorite being  Verde Au Laite from Teavana. I tend to add a packet of Truvia and a bit more Lait to to it. I LOVE tea mmm.

Nothing much is going on craft or book wise. I finally got a new phone after going through 6 in 2 years. I really hope this one holds up a little better :-) What did I get? A droid.... droooiid *sigh* I love it. Thank you again babe!!

Lazy Weekender Welcomes Monday, new at 9am...

While I did take a few reservations on Saturday, and mop the floor...this weekend pretty much me, sitting my ass. Jason has a 4 day weekend every other week. So our weekend technically started on Thursday night. What did we do. Nothing ;-). Friday, more nothing... umm Saturday... betcha can guess. Yesterday however after I slept until 1pm, (yes I didn't have to work or go to church or anything like that) We headed to Show Low, sans kiddos.

I have to say spending time with the hubby, even if it's at Walmart tends to be the highlight of my week in all ways. The best thing about the trip was that we only spent $12.50 in cash and ended up with an entire back seat of grocery's. Baby gorilla just turned 6 months an actually decided that she LIKES baby food so we've been trying to get into the habit of feeding her 3 meals a day. That heaven for WIC, we get almost 100 jars of baby food every month now, along with the dry cereal you add breast milk or yogurt to. (not I didn't say formula, yeah my babies don't get formula unless I'm out of order for some reason)

Now since I didn't cook anything, and I'm rereading Assassins Quest (I love you Robin Hobb) on my kindle, no news there. I did try my hand at making my own mama cloth, I have to say I was successful, in that my pattern worked well. However my fabric choices leave a little to be desired. Who knew that Wool jersey stretched while being sewn by the serger which mean that it then gets all wrinkly on the edges. LOL.

I also started a new pair of Longies for baby cakes in some nice purewool I traded for. They are just LOVELY. I am using my nickle plated Knit Picks for this. I never thought I'd love something as much as my Harmony needles, needless to say I was WRONG. They are pointy and smooth and I do miss the bendy hand feel of the Harmonys but they are pretty awesome.

Aside from that I'm babysitting today for a few hours. Their dad had to take their momma to the airport. A quick turn around trip to Phoenix is never quick. I don't envy them.

Ohh I almost forgot, Jason bought Cayley a traning cup yesterday and she LOVES it. We put a splash of water in it for her to play with. Talk about happy baby, she's so excited when she sees it she shakes. Totally cute!

Does this make me a little ADD...

I'm one of those people who are defined by their hobbies. I have lots of them, I stand by them, invest in them and am really good at them. That being said however, I DO have my priorities straight.

I love my husband. This man, WOW is he the center of my universe or WHAT? *sigh* Not a second goes by that I don't think, oh wow, I have to show this to Jason. He's also my favorite hobby. *wink wink* Since we have kids and lives outside of the bedroom we do not get to participate as often as we would like. Hell we've been married for over a year now and still act like newly weds. Making out in his parents pantry and tossing our kids at my parents so we can snuggle and uhh 'practice'.

My kids. Right now, I want to SELL my 3 year old. He's one of those kids that's too damn smart for his own good. Seriously, if he didn't still have a soft pallet and my laziness he would probably be finished with Kindergarten already. Go figure. He reads, plays with play-doh, eats salads and pushes all his daddy's buttons.

Now my 6 month old. She's sooo sweet! I've never met a more relaxed laid back baby. She's cool, confident and has her daddy's red hair. Another thing just like her daddy is that famous Reidhead temper!! I get cursed out, ALL the TIME!!

From Blog Album

Work, not a hobby. I babysit out of my home. Take reservations by phone. Supplement my income by selling anything I'm no longer using. I also am a big fan of Barter. I love to trade. Another thing is sweepstakes and blog giveaways. Love them.

As for hobbys. They are a little obvious to anyone who walks into my living room. Luckily for me, very few people do so they aren't shocked by my disaster. I read, which recently has become easier and more portable due to a Kindle and ebooks. I knit, this is a love hate relationship, I have a hard time finishing projects unless they are perfect but I don't want to put too much effort into something to just have to rip out a bunch of stitches. Ravelry is one of my favorite sites. I sew, clothes for myself, my kids, objects for my home and things for my friends. I love fat quarters of designer fabrics, Sew Mama Sew!, diaper sewing Divas, DiaperSwappers and Pattern Review. Along with sewing is a love for cloth diapering my children. It's an addiction as well. Babywearing, thebabywearer. I love wraps, I hate Mei Tai's, I have a love hate relationship with pouches and slings. Lastly, I love to cook. Some days my KitchenAid is my best friend. It listens to me bitch and works it's butt off ;-)
